The top bedroom had no wash facility at all!!! Dirty stained carpets in some common areas!!! A simple deep clean is desperately needed to elevate the overall experience!!!

The Railway Inn is a cozy spot with a warm atmosphere and comfortably furnished rooms. Located just a stone's throw from the beach and amenities, it offers an excellent selection of real ales and a menu that provides great value for money. The friendly hosts, Gary and Tracy, really make you feel welcome, and the bar is a fantastic place to unwind after a day of exploring.

great location

the railway inn was a lovely place to stay. it was clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly. the location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach and shops. for £50 a night, it was great value. i enjoyed the little touches like tea and coffee in the room, too. had a fantastic break exploring nearby places like exmouth and paignton.

would recommend.

The room was comfy and warm. It had everything I needed for my 2-night stay. Loved the vibe of the place, especially the friendly hosts. Right in the center of Dawlish, so super convenient for everything! I felt totally welcome during my time there.

staying here was perfect since everything is just a short walk away, with the beautiful dawlish town beach only 500 meters down the road and the scenic maer local nature reserve about 2 km away, making it easy to enjoy the charming coastal views and local wildlife.

Had a lovely stay with super cozy and warm rooms. Little extras like tea and coffee that made it even nicer. Enjoyed some downtime in the common area with board games and a good book, which was perfect to relax after a day out. Just a heads up that the shower could use a little update, but it didn't take away from my experience! 😊
